Shinrog is a Kirin and the father of Skipsalou.
Description[]
Shinrog is a Kirin, or a Qilin, with a signal horn on his head. He has a thick fluffy mane and his body is covered in fur and scales. There are several different types of Kirins, most are hoofed creatures with a few repitilian aspects, Shinrog is a mixture of a deer with repitle features. In his native land, there are no elements of Harmony, but instead there are The Four Gentlemen which repesent the four seasons, winter, spring, summer and autumn. Each season is represented by a plant that flowers in one of the seasons, spring being the orchid, bamboo represents summer, Autumn is the chrysanthemum and winter is represented by the plum blossom. The Four Gentlemen bring the seasons, Shinrog represents the Gentlemen of Autumn. Each fall he travels back to his native land to bring fourth the fall and remains there till winter when he returns to Equestria.
History[]
Shinrog is not native to Equestria and hails from across the sea. He met Skipsalou's mother, a Changeling, when she traveled to his native land. Shinrog ultimately moved to Equestria and took up residence in the jungle a little after Skipsalou was born. Shinrog leaves Equestria in to return to his native land to bring forth fall representing the season of Autumn. He returns to his home in Equestria when winter sets in.
